This website is operated by Hahn's Tree Service & Landscaping of Bangor, Pennsylvania. Using it means you accept the terms on this page.

Estimates are estimates

Nothing on this site is a priced offer. Every quote we give follows a physical walk-round of the property, because lean, decay, access and drop zone are the things that actually determine what a job costs — and none of them can be judged from a form.

A written estimate is valid for 30 days. If conditions change materially before work starts, such as further storm damage or newly discovered decay, we will re-quote before proceeding rather than adding charges afterwards.

Scheduling and weather

Tree work is weather-dependent and emergency work takes priority over scheduled work. If a storm puts trees on houses, planned jobs may move. We will tell you as soon as we know and we will not charge you for the delay.

Site access and your responsibilities

• Provide safe vehicle access for a bucket truck, crane or chip truck as discussed at the estimate
• Move vehicles, garden furniture and anything else fragile out of the work area beforehand
• Tell us about septic fields, leach beds, irrigation, invisible fencing and buried utilities on the property
• Keep people and pets clear of the work area while the crew is on site

Insurance and licensing

We are licensed and fully insured for tree work, including crane operation. We will provide a current certificate of insurance before work begins — ask, and we will send it. If any contractor cannot produce one, do not let them near your trees.

Emergency work

Emergency callouts are billed at our emergency rate, which reflects out-of-hours crewing and equipment. We will tell you that rate on the phone before dispatching. Making a property safe may be carried out before a full quote is possible; in that case we document the work and bill for what was actually done.

Payment

Payment is due on completion unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Larger removals and crane jobs may require a deposit, which will be stated on the estimate. Seasonal snow contracts are billed as set out in the contract itself.

Photographs of completed work

We sometimes photograph completed work for our own portfolio and Facebook page. Photographs never include house numbers or anything else identifying your address. Tell us if you would rather we did not, and we will not.

Photographs and text on this site are our own. Service descriptions explain how we work rather than forming a contractual specification; the estimate we give you is what governs your job.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
